Realizzazione LAN: a cosa serve e le novità del 2016

Quando si parla di LAN (Local Area Network) si intende una rete informatica di collegamento tra diversi computer e che si può estendere anche a dispositivi periferici che vengono condivisi. La LAN copre comunque un'area limitata, ad esempio una casa o una scuola, così come un'azienda oppure un complesso di edifici vicini.

A cosa serve una LAN (Local Area Network)?

Tutto questo avviene in maniera efficiente e soprattutto economica, con velocità elevate, a basso tasso di errore e con un numero illimitato di terminali che si possono collegare.

Inoltre, la rete LAN presenta prestazioni di livelo superiore, un'elevata semplicità di protocollo e di controllo nonché migliore gestione della rete. Se si guasta un solo punto, poi, non verrebbe mai compromesso il funzionamento dell'intero sistema. Oggi c'è anche la possibilità di inserire la fibra ottica nella rete LAN, per avere ulteriore velocità ed efficienza. Questo è un grande passo in avanti nella tecnologia che, col tempo, permetterà connessioni velocissime, proprio grazie alla maggiore diffusione della fibra ottica.

Novità per il 2016: incentivi del Governo per realizzare LAN nelle Scuole

Esiste anche la rete WLAN, ossia quella con wireless, per permette anche a dispositivi portatili di connettersi alla rete LAN. Per quanto riguarda, poi, il 2016, sono anche previsti dei fondi da parte del Governo, in particolar modo del Ministero della Pubblica Istruzione, per incentivare l'istallazione delle reti LAN anche nelle scuole, seguendo gli stessi sistemi applicati alle aziende o per implementare le reti tramite schede ethernet, cavi e hub.
